Nancy Lee (Copley) Gilkerson, age 82, peacefully crossed over and was met by our Lord and reunited with her husband Jack, as well as many family that have gone on before her. She was born January 14th 1938. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Ethel Copley, and by her siblings, Doris Jean Copley, Don Copley, and Richard Copley. In addition to her own family, she is survived by several of her married family, including sisters-in-law Wanda Copley, Sue Copley, Yvonne Barton and Donna Gilkerson, brother-in-law Drew Gilkerson, and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her daughter, LeAnne Gilkerson, who is so lost without her and is missing both her mom and dad terribly. Nancy was a very accomplished seamstress, artist and crafter. In addition she also enjoyed working on genealogy. She took great pride in being a mother and homemaker and was very dedicated to her family. She and her husband Jack were seen everywhere together, holding hands. Her whole life changed when she had to let him go. A special thanks to Dr. Pinson and to the 3rd floor nursing staff of The Heritage Center, as well as the other departments that were part of her care. They were very attached to her and took excellent care of her. And I also want to say a word of thanks to my friends and family. They have prayed for me and held me up so I am able to get ready to say goodbye. In the near future, there will be a graveside service.
