Charlotte Kay (Sheppard) Jones

Charlotte Kay Jones, 80 of Huntington, WV passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born April 1, 1942, in Parkersburg, WV, daughter of the late Earl and Mildred Williams Sheppard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Matthew Todd Jones and a brother, Rodney Wayne Sheppard. Charlotte was a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. She was the owner/operator of the former Brown’s Apparel and retired as the Data Processing and Finance Manager for the Huntington YMCA. She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Jack Jones; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Maria Jones of Huntington; a sister, Robin Maloy of Minnesota; grandchildren, Samantha Stacy, Whitney Pettry, Kandyce Jones, Skylar Jones, and Shandell Jones Leverock; five great-grandchildren, Gage, Bryson, Trinity, Lexie and Levi; a sister-in-law, Mary Sheppard of Ft. Myers, FL.; a niece, Angela Thomas, a nephew, Gregory Sheppard, a special helper and caregiver, Shelley Triplett and a host of friends and former co-workers. Private family services will be held in Gilmer, WV. A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made in Charlotte’s name to Huntington YMCA Foundation, 935 10th Avenue, Huntington, WV 25701.
