I will never forget all the times he took us to watch the "Reds" play baseball, nor will I forget him singing a little song or being funny!!! He was a very good man, and will be missed very much. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers! Sorry I could not be there today! Love always, Jamie

Several moons ago, Bill was a leader among those who sought successfully to obtain the right for Cabell Countians to vote on the subject of a dog track in the county. It wasn't necessarily the popular thing to do but it was the right thing. Many of those involved have passed on but those remaining are still grateful for his leadership in those difficult days.

May your memories of the good times with your father and grandfather buoy you through your time of grief. We were saddened to hear of Bill's passing. He was the family historian as well as a passionate American history buff and enthusiastic storyteller eager to share his knowledge of history and a tall tale or two. We hope you find peace in the full life he lived, and in the many lives he touched as an elected official, insurance agent and volunteer with the Disabled American Veterans.
Until we meet again, Uncle Bill, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.

I will always remember Bill's first election to the Cabell County Commission and the shoes he wore out to get there campaigning door to door. He was a classic and his campaigns were classic.

Words are never adequate at times like this. My heart goes out to all of you. I will always treasure the memories of being Bill’s sister in law for over 50 years. I am sure John and Joe were waiting to greet Bill with open arms. He is at peace among all the loved ones who’ve gone before.
