Tere (Teresa) Lynn Prater Perry, 72, was born in Huntington, WV on June 17, 1951. A loving mother, dedicated worker, and passionate servant of Christ fearlessly and peacefully passed away on October 19, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.

Preceded in death by her soulmate, Chester Wayne Perry; her parents, Ernest Haley & Alice Christina Prater; Beloved Aunts, Elizabeth "Sissy" Price and Doris Horan; and, her favorite fur baby, Jimi; survived by her devoted daughter and stepson Margaret Haley Perry and Don Carlos Perry; life-long friends, Carol Peters, Paula Hammers, Sarah Hunter, Ron Ross, Jean Gawne, John Jagunich, Linda Goode, and Christine Watkins; cherished siblings and in-laws, Ronald E. Prater (Ruth), Gary E. Prater (Mary Beth), Judy Tweel Prater, Bruce A. Prater (Linda), and her baby sister, Pamela S. Robinson (Tom), and their beautiful children; her little buddy, Bean; and, her 'adopted' children, Mark, Kaitlyn (Melody), and Christina (Stacy & Cassidy). Tere loved life, loved to laugh, and loved to love; she loved her church, Fifth Avenue Baptist in Huntington, and she attended faithfully for many, many years; her zest for life was contagious and her laughter and love are legacies that will last forever....

A Memorial Service will be held at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church this coming Summer, date and time pending. Please check back here for updated information.
