Fannie Marie (LeGrand) Blake

Fannie Marie LeGrand Blake, 92 of Huntington passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, in The Village at Riverview.  She was born in Huntington, WV, December 15,1930 to the late Asa A. and Opal Rowsey LeGrand.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Shirley R. Blake, brother and sister-in-law, Asa and Mary LeGrand, sisters and brothers-in-law, Anna Lee and Ed Clark, Donna and John Worls, sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Poston, nephews, Danny and Cathie Clark, Anthony Worls, and Kenny Poston Jr.

She is survived by nephews; Mike Browning, Randy Clark (Diann), Steve LeGrand, Rodney LeGrand (Lisa), and Marlin Poston. Nieces; Teresa "Terry" Bailey, Beryle Queen (Eddie), and Renee Waterson. Also, several great nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved very much.

Fannie retired from H.K. Porter Inc. and was of the Methodist faith. Fannie was thoughtful and caring, kind and concerned, and fun and funny. She was a classy lady who had complete unconditional love for the whole family. The family and its wellbeing were so important to her. Even though Fannie had no children of her own, we were all her children. She will be sorely missed by us all. 

The family would like to thank the entire staff at The Village at Riverview for their excellent caring treatment of Fannie for the past four plus years. They became her extended family. You folks are wonderful.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 1:00pm at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Tim Halloran officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation one hour before service.
