Arvid Lewis Vickers, III

Arvid Lewis Vickers III, 59, of Huntington WV, went to be with the Lord on October 4, 2020. He was born August 24, 1961 in Huntington. His parents are Patricia S. Vickers and the late Arivd L. Vickers Jr. His surviving family are his son, Brandon Wesley Vickers of Maryland, his mother Patricia S. Vickers of Huntington, his sister Lajounda L. Hill of Huntington, his brother Ronald S. Vickers of Maryland. He was an uncle to Tiffani L. Cooler of Georgia, Denise Hicks of Ohio, and Tara Vickers of Maryland. He was the great uncle of Hailey Mannon, Gaige Mannon and Journey Mannon of Georgia, and Jace Rickman and Kaileigh Blake of Ohio, He was the nephew of Ronald and Denise Runnels of Huntington and Linda Vickers-Rahn of Georgia, and many wonderful loving cousins.

A.L., as he was known, was a caring and compassionate man. He loved to brighten people’s day by making the smile or laugh by telling jokes or pranks and never met a stranger. He was employed at St. Mary’s Hospital and Cabell Huntington Hospital and will truly be missed by those he worked with. The family would like to express a special thanks to Ronald S. Vickers, Ronald Runnels II, Sherri Mckinney, David Lewis, Linda Vickers-Rahn, and Andre Runnels for making all this possible.

A Memorial Service will be held on October 18, 2020 at 2:00PM at the Grace Christian Fellowship Church, 530 Roby Road, Huntington. Andre Runnels of Myrtle Beach South Carolina will officiate.  Anyone wishing to send cards can be mailed to Patricia S. Vickers or Joni Vickers Hill at 1907 Parkview Street, Huntington WV, 25701.
