Wilma Melrose, 100 of Huntington, WV passed away at Kingsbrook Lifecare Center on Friday, February 8, 2013. She was born on August 11, 1912, a daughter of the late Walter Corydon and Nora (Holley) Melrose. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Willis Melrose; two sisters, Lorena (Bill) Seegmiller, Sarah (Gene) Mathews; and one nephew, Bill Seegmiller. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, Stephen Mathews of Ashland, KY, Judy (Larry) Faust of Florida, Pat Seegmiller of Virginia, Holly Snow of Huntington, and Bill (Cindi) Mathews of Columbus, OH; great nieces and nephews, Dean Mathews of Ashland, Kevin (Katie) Snow of Huntington, David Snow of Charleston, WV, William Tyler Seegmiller of Huntington, Jacob Stone of KY, Erin (Nick) Wesol of Virginia, and Rachel Stone of SC; and great-great nieces, Alexis Mathews, Ashley Mathews and Allison Mathews, all of Ashland, KY. Wilma was proud to have worked 34 years at Appalachian Power. She loved spending time with family and to garden. She was quite a historian on the businesses in Huntington and loved to tell you about the theaters. Wilma was also an avid Marshall Football fan. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, February 11, 2013 with Reverend Kevin Snow officiating at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington, WV.
