WILLIE MARIE WILLIS, 89, of Huntington, widow of Arnold O. Willis Jr., passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at her residence. She was born on August 10, 1924 in Jacksonville, NC, a daughter of the late Clyde and Martha Waters Ellis. In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Willis was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde and Leslie Ellis; sister, Mary Thompson; and a stepson, Robert Willis. She is survived by a daughter, Lisa (Steven) Zatezalo of Imperial, PA; two grandchildren, Marissa Zatezalo and Carrie Lynn Willis; a sister, Natalie Hufhand; nieces and nephews, Janet Merkel, Kay Damiano, Bethany Weber, Mark and Brian Hufhand; and 13 Great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 11:00 am at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Bill Demoss officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 on Monday evening at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to Hospice of Huntington in Mrs. Willis' honor.
