William G. "Wg" Bunch

WG Bunch (55) passed away January 30, 2024, in Huntington, WV. He is survived by his father William (Bill) Bunch, sister Brenda Bunch Gorman (John) of Charlottesville, VA, nephew Zach Gorman and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

WG was a Huntington native who went to University of Houston and was a Sig Ep.  In Houston he entertained audiences as a popular radio and club emcee and disc jockey.  He was also one of the nation's top hospitality consultants as the Music Director for Core Music Services with clients such as Disney, Dave & Buster's, US Military night club installations, and Royal Caribbean.

After returning to Huntington he was a member of the Bunch real estate family which has included his grandfather, father, sister, uncles, aunts, cousins, stepmother, and former wife.  He served as President of The Huntington Board of Realtors, a Realtor of The Year, and director of the WV Association of Realtors.

WG organized with Joe Murphey and led in a KISS TRAVAGANZA (band) special which benefited Multiple Sclerosis.  Around Christmas WG dressed as "Dubba" the elf and visited many school first grade class rooms in the Tri State looking for naughty or nice children.

WG organized and produced one of the ten top podcasts in West Virginia.  He combined his wit and humor with his knowledge of the Huntington Tri State Area to host the Huntington Tri-State Time Machine where he invited guests to discuss topics like memories of safety town and favorite pumpkins at the Kenova Pumpkin House.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 1 PM at Fifth Avenue Baptist Church in Huntington.  A Reception will be held at the church after the services.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hoops Childrens Hospital or Little Victories Animal Rescue.
