WILLIAM T. TRACY, 88, of Huntington died Thursday, March 24, 2016, at River's Bend Health Care. He was born December 2, 1927, in Pursley, West Virginia, a son of Herbert Wayne and Vada Ford Tracy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Clark Tracy, and his brother, Jack Wayne Tracy. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served as a radio operator in occupied Japan, and a graduate of what is now Western Kentucky University. He was a certified public accountant, retiring in 2006. A past president and member of the Huntington Downtown Lions Club for 57 years, he was also a former chairman of the Huntington YMCA Foundation Board, former president of the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State Area, and a member of Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include his son, Bruce Tracy (Mickey), of New York; his daughter, Elizabeth Tracy Daniels (Brian), of Huntington; and grandchildren Max Willauer and Eva Willauer. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Tri-State Area. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 28 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington.
