William E. Ross, Sr.

William E. Ross, Sr., 80 of Huntington, WV, passed away Friday, February 21, 2025 in Huntington. He was born December 10, 1944 in Huntington to the late Jesse Hugh and Ruth Mae Ross.

William enjoyed sitting on the porch, drinking coffee and talking to friends and family. He also enjoyed playing bingo, especially at Redmen Bingo Hall.

He was married to his beloved wife, Shirley Elaine Ross, for 46 years before her passing in 2015. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Sharon K. Ross; brothers, Jesse Ross, Jr., Luther Ross, Robert Hayes and John Ross; sisters, Sylvia Reed, Emma Townson, Mary Francis and Shirley Ross and his granddaughter, Alexis Beard. William is survived by his children, William E. Ross, Jr. and Michael P. Ross, both of Huntington; sister, Joyce Ross of Huntington; grandchildren, Robert Ross and Christopher Beard; great grandchildren, Madison Ross, Jeremyah Callicoat, Sophia Ross, Elijah Beard, Nayomi Carroll, Dewayne Carroll, III, James Ross and Hannah Ross, as well as special family friends, Vicky and Don Short.

A Graveside Service will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Please leave an online condolence for William's family on his tribute wall.
