William Richard Hayes

William Richard Hayes, 70 of South Point, OH passed away on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Beard Mortuary with Pastor J.R. Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park.  William was born on October 30, 1941 in Huntington, a son of the late William Wetzel Hayes and Mabel King Hayes. William was a member of the VFW Post 1064 and the Masons, he also retired from Ashland Oil. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Hayes; two nephews, Steve Hayes and infant William Lee Hayes. Survivors include his loving wife Valerie Dewhurst Hayes; two daughters, Julie and Matthew Estep of Louisa, KY, Dawn Hayes of South Point, OH; two grandchildren, Josh and Tiffany Estep; one sister-in-law, Cindy Hayes; Sue and Dick Halbert and family, nephew Rob and Sue Hayes; niece Missy Cardwell; three great nieces, Melissa, Robyn, Rylee; and one great nephew, Steven and wife Crystal. Friends may call from 6:00-8:00pm Monday, August 27, 2012 at Beard Mortuary.
