VIRGINIA MAXWELL FOGG, 95, of Huntington, WV, formerly of Raleigh, NC, widow of Edmund Johnson Fogg, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born on July 7, 1918 in Hinton, WV, a daughter of the late Kemper and Clara Maxwell. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Fogg and a son-in-law, Gene Lawson. She is survived by her son, Edmund Jr. (Kay) Fogg of DuBois, PA; daughters Stephanie (Robert) Fowble of Apple Grove, WV, Patricia Lawson of Huntington, Carolyn Souther of Evans, WV; grandchildren Kelli (Graham) Knox, Trey (Katherine) Fogg, Jennifer (Aaron) Swinford, Amy (Tim) Clendenen, Pam (Darell) Hager, Leonard (Emily) Lawson, Julie (Lee) Bentley, Jeannie (John) Teichman, Emily and Matthew Souther; 14 great-grandchildren with another due in September. Mrs. Fogg was a graduate of Marshall University and received her Master's Degree in 1949. She was one of the oldest Marshall University alumni and always looked forward to attending the alumni luncheon. She was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served in the Waves during WWII and was an educator by profession who enjoyed teaching up to her retirement at age 77. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Greg Tomlinson officiating. Entombment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 – 8 pm at the mortuary.
