Violeta del Castillo Quodala, 83 of Huntington, WV, passed away on Thursday, August 14, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Fr. Martin Smay officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends beforehand from 10:00-11:00 am. Violeta was born May 3, 1942, in Caoayan, Ilocos Sur the daughter of the late Vicente del Castillo and Patrocinia Bermudez del Castillo. She was a retired registered nurse having worked at King's Daughters, Cabell Huntington Hospital, VA Medical Center and Huntington State Hospital. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Regency Dance Club and Ivy Dance Club. She is survived by her husband, Genaro Quodala; her children, Rowena Quodala of New Albany, IN, Genaro Quodala, Jr. and wife, Rosanne of Winchester, VA, and Vincent Quodala of Ranson, WV; seven grandchildren, Jessica Higdon, Jon Higdon, Genaro Quodala, III, Leslie, Laurel, Violet and Marshall Quodala; four half-sisters and several extended family members. In lieu of flowers those who wish may make memorial contributions to Our Lady of Fatima Church or charity of one's choice. Please leave an online condolence for her family on Violeta's tribute wall.
