Violet Jenkins

VIOLET LEE JENKINS, 80, of Huntington, widow of James Harold Jenkins, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House in Huntington. She was born on September 30, 1931 in West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ervie and Lucille (Taylor) Goble. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a grandson, Jason Michael Harold. A devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by four daughters, Linda Harold of Chester, VA, Beverly Vance of Crown City, OH, Cheryl (Scott) Scarberry of Summerville, SC, and Lisa (Mike) Freeman of Huntington; a son Leroy (Teresa) Jenkins of Huntington; grandchildren, Shannon Harold, Sara Hollenbeck, Kara Russo, Amber Easton, Zachary Scarberry, Kasey Hamrick, Falon McCallister, Kayla McCallister and Jeremy Thacker; great-grandchildren, Kaylyn, Ever, Taegan, Chloe and Miles. Pall Bearers will be Leroy Jenkins, Danne Vance, Scott Scarberry, Mike Freeman, Zachary Scarberry, Jeremy Thacker, Max Easton, Doug Thacker and Mike Wallen. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Ron Burnsworth officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
