Velma "Ikie" Smallridge

Velma Irene "Ikie" Smallridge, 80,  of Huntington, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2008 in St. Mary's Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Beard Mortuary.  Burial will follow in Culloden Cemetery.  She was born April 18, 1928 in Gilmer, WV, a daughter of the late Pearl Martin Amos and Mary Frances Cremeans-Miller.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Homer J. Smallridge; sisters, Phyllis Floyd and Glellene Seibert; brother, Olis Goodman.  She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn and Earl Legg of Proctorville, Francy and Jimmy Dillon of Huntington, Vickie and Jack Pullen of Huntington; one son, James Smallridge of Proctorville; one sister, Mary Rasche of Dubois, IN; one brother, Charles L. Amos of Huntington; nine grandchildren, Melissa McCallister, Earl Legg Jr., Tim Dillon, Johnna Harshbarger, Elizabeth Collins, Jason Ashworth, Rebecca Wells, Jerry Pullen, and James Smallridge; thirteen great grandchildren, and one special great grandchild, Eric Joseph Ashworth.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, September 8, 2008 at Beard Mortuary.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.beardmortuary.com.
