Thelma M. Meade

Thelma M. Meade, 85, of Huntington left this world to be in the arms of Jesus on Monday, December 29, 2008.  Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 2, 2009 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with the Rev. Paul R. Farley officiating.  Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.  She was born April 22, 1923 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Boney and Samantha Riley Caster.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Jack" Meade; four sisters, Ellen Crockett, Hazel Caster, Grace Alberts and Leva Vickers and two brothers, Cecil Caster and Frank Caster.  Mrs. Meade attended Jefferson Avenue Church of God and worked as a foster granny for Southwestern Community Action Counsel.  She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Tara Roswall of Bristol, TN and David and Joyce Roswall of Proctorville, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Tom Musselman of Woodbridge, VA and Penny and Delbert "Juny" Vanhoose of Huntington; two sisters, Ann Combs of Indianapolis, IN and Violet Sweet of Huntington; nine grandchildren, Carolyn Adkins, Brent Roswall, Evan Roswall, Debbie Smith, Sheri Sheaffer, Wendy Dicola, Mark Musselman, Jerry Vanhoose and Dr. Timothy Vanhoose; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 1st at Beard Mortuary.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.beardmortuary.com
