Tara Gail (Jones) Vosler

Tara Gail Jones-Vosler, 72 of Huntington, WV went to be with the Lord peacefully Thursday, December 28th, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  Tara was born in Huntington, WV on May 3rd, 1951 to the late Bill and Billie Jones.

Tara was a graduate of Logan High school, class of 1969. As an 18 year old adventurer, Tara left Logan, WV to come to Victor's Business School in Huntington. She began her career as a key punch operator at International Nickel co. (INCO). Through 19 years at INCO, Tara rose to the position of senior systems analyst. This led to her true dream as an entrepreneur starting Medical Claims Assistance, Inc. (MCA). In 1986 with a small amount of borrowed funds and a desk in a spare bedroom, Tara grew a pioneering billing agency into an industry leading operation that employs over 60 people today.

Tara, though small in stature, was enormous in heart and love for life. She loved her family with a ferocity that was unrivaled. She never turned down an adventure and was always ready to share any kind of fun and laughter. Her compassion, generosity, humility to all she encountered was immeasurable. She never missed an opportunity to offer an encouraging word and was a true inspiration to all that knew her.

Tara leaves behind a loving husband, David Vosler of Huntington, a devoted daughter, Kendra Black (Chris) of Huntington WV, a stepdaughter, Kara Mason (Mark) of Beckley WV, two brothers, Bill Jones (Lisa) and David Jones (Summer) of Huntington WV, and three grandsons that were her true pride, Toren Black, Beau Black, and Parks Mason. So many of Tara's contributions to society and loved ones will go on forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Funeral Service will be at 2 PM on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at Lewis Memorial Baptist Church, with Pastor David Lemming officiating. Visitation will be beforehand from 12 Noon until 2 PM.
