Sylvia Faye Chapman

Sylvia Faye Chapman, 87 of Huntington, WV passed away on Monday December 8, 2008 at the Emogene Dolin Hospice House. Sylvia and John's funeral service will be held on Wednesday Dec. 10, at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Jerry Chapman officiating. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.  She was born March 12, 1921 in Milton, WV a daughter of the late Hinton and Bessie Cecil Richmond. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, John Clifton Chapman on Friday Dec. 5, 2008 and two brothers, Charles "Jar Fly" Richmond and Hinton Richmond, Jr. She was a member of the former Sunset Chapel Baptist Church. Sylvia survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Roger Knight of Bluffton, SC; granddaughter, Teresa Fuller Kenton and her husband, Bobby; two great grandsons, Timothy and Nicholas D'Orazio all of Lilburn, GA; a brother, Earl Richmond of St. Alban's, WV; several nieces and nephews, and special caregivers, Hope Wolfe and Mick Cremeans.
