Suzanne (Spaulding) High

Suzanne High (Spaulding), 92, passed away on April 14, 2024, in Hamlin, WV.  She was born on January 16th, 1932, in Huntington, WV. Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Ginny High, several cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Louie High, her mother, Opal Spaulding, her sisters Therese Tweel, Jackie Brinkerhoff, Sally Shelton, and Dottie Short.

Suzanne dedicated her professional life to River Valley Child Development Services, where she was a great friend and colleague to many employees and families.  Apart from her professional life, Suzanne found joy in her hobbies of bird watching and hiking.  Her love of nature and the outdoors brought her moments of peace and tranquility.

Suzanne will be deeply missed by her family and friends.  Her kindness, sense of humor and unwavering love will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Lincoln Healthcare Center for their wonderful care and kindness shown to Suzanne and Ginny over the years.

In lieu of flowers love gifts may be sent to Ginny in memory of her mother.

Services will be private for the family.
