Scott Allen Turner

Scott Allen Turner, 40, of South Point, OH passed away Friday, December 25, 2009 at UK Medical Center, Lexington, KY.  Funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with the Rev. Tim Yates officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.  He was born January 6, 1969 in Huntington, WV, the son of Karl and Pam Turner of South Point, OH.  He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Ella Spurlock and his paternal grandparents, Karl and Eura Turner.  He was a 1987 graduate of South Point High School and attended Ohio University.  In addition to his parents, he is survived by his maternal grandfather, Jim Spurlock; girlfriend, Rebecca Hogsten and family; uncles and aunt, Doug and Nancy Spurlock and Paul Lewis; cousins, Stacy, Eric, Becky, Cy and Cindy and many extended family and friends.  Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Beard Mortuary.  Online condolences may be sent at www.beardmortuary.com.  He will be greatly missed by all.
