Ruth Sevy

RUTH DRENAN SEVY, 88, of Huntington passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2010 at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House in Huntington. She was born on February 20, 1922 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Martin and Eva Smith Drenan. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, John Drenan and James Drenan; and very special friends Connie Sliger and Janice Berry. She is survived by one daughter, Jacquelyn Kyle of Seneca, SC; and dear friends Freda Walker, Delores Paugh, Tom Cannon, Robert Jenkins and Charles Webb. Ruth was  retired from CSX railroad where she was employed as a chief clerk. She was a long time member of Highlawn Baptist Church and spent many years as a volunteer at the St. Mary's Hospital gift shop. A special thank you to the staff of Hospice House for the wonderful care in Ruth's last days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington in Ruth's honor.  Graveside funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at Manchester Cemetery, Manchester Twp., OH, with Pastor Jason McKenzie officiating.
