Ruth D. Mumma

RUTH D. MUMMA, 98, of the Woodlands, widow of George Mumma, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House in Huntington. She was born on April 5, 1914 in Millville, PA, daughter of the late Willis Munro and Bessie Evans DeMott. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by a son, Jimmy; a sister, Lois Stouffer; and a brother George DeMott. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce St. Clair of Lutherville, MD and Jean (Carl) Miller of Huntington; grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt) Wadell of Hampton, NH, Jill (Mark) Ambrose of McLean, VA, Shawn (Sherry) Mumma of Silver Springs, MD, Megan (Matt) Huesgen of Shellington, PA, Marc (Serena) Miller of Chillicothe, OH, and Jessica Miller of Huntington; great-grandchildren, Mills, Hayes and Ella Wadell, Brooke and Andrew Ambrose, Nicholas, Zachary, and Joshua Mumma, Andrew, Alexander, and Adam Huesgen, and Dane and Cole Miller. Mrs. Mumma was a graduate of the Mansfield Teachers College and a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church in Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Hubert Harvey officiating.
