Ruth Movil Fischer

RUTH MOVIL SARTAIN FISCHER, 81, of Greer, SC, formerly of Proctorville, OH, passed away on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at her residence. She was born on April 12, 1929 in Walnut, MS. a daughter of the late James Calvin and Sarah Faulkenbury Sartain. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Clyde G. Fischer; five brothers, General Earl Sartain, Bill Sartain, Scotty Sartain, James Sartain and Darius Sartain; and two sisters, Vernell Wright and Sarah Lien. She is survived by one son, Clyne (Kathy) Fischer of Greenville, SC and Linda Fischer-Long of Proctorville, OH; two sisters, Peggy Ruffin of Covington, TN and Ann Freeman of Germantown, TN; four grandchildren, Clyne Christopher Fischer, Matthew Gerard Fischer, Amanda S. Webb and Justin S. Long; one great-grandson, Kyle Preston.  Mrs. Fischer was a member of Grace Gospel Church in Huntington, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Huganaughts. Funeral services and a celebration of her going home to be with the Lord will be held on Monday, July 12, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Grace Gospel Church with Pastor Bill Holley officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Friends may call Sunday evening from 4 – 7 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington.
