Roy Weekley

ROY R. WEEKLEY, SR., of Huntington, WV died Monday January 3, 2011 at the VA Medical Center. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Hewlett Trogdon and Preacher Paul Michael Booth officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born December 25, 1919 in Glenwood, WV a son of the late Charlie and Elva Reed Weekley. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Maxine Henderson Weekley and two sisters, Ocie Denney and Lillie "Peanut" Felix. He was retired from the Trucking Industry. He was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a member of the Community Holiness Center and the American Legion Post 177, Barboursville. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roy R. Weekley, Jr. and Donna of Ona, WV; two grandsons, Brett "B.J." Weekley and Brad Weekley and his wife, Brandi; a great-granddaughter, Sarah Weekley all of Ona, WV, and a sister, Georgianna Lambert of Landover, MD; and several nieces and nephews.
