Roy Douglas Webb

Roy Douglas Webb, 95, of Barboursville, WV passed away on Friday, March 12, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born on October 31, 1914 in Huntington, a son to the late Thomas and Mabel Darnall Webb. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie; the mother of his children, Juanita; one son, Thomas M. Webb; two brothers, Kendall Webb and Paul Webb; one sister, Eloise Trenor; and one son-in-law, James Halley. He is survived by two sons, Robert M. (Sonya) Webb of Connersville, IN and Charles D. (Faye) Webb of Huntington; one daughter, Linda L. Halley of Barboursville; one brother, Chester L. Webb of Chesapeake, OH; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren. He was formerly employed by Owens-Illinois and Ashland Oil and was the manager of two bowling establishments in Huntington. He was a charter member of the Huntington Bowling Association and a member of the Masonic Lodge. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Charles V. "Sonny" Williams officiating. Entombment will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Friends may call from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
