Dr. Ronald Gene Midkiff

Dr. Ronald Gene Midkiff, 80 of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday November 15, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Trent Eastman and Rev. Keith Creasy officiating. Entombment and Military Graveside Rites will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born January 11, 1930 in Branchland, WV a son of the late Rev. John L. Midkiff and Mary E. Marcum Midkiff. He was retired with over 40 years of service as a Dr. of Dental Surgery. He was a faithful member of New Baptist Church where he served as deacon and on numerous boards. He was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Ronald was of strong faith, and loved his country and family. He is survived by his wife, Angeline F. "Ski" Isaacs Midkiff; a daughter, Tara Elizabeth Midkiff of Jacksonville, FL; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Cathy Midkiff; two aunts, Arlene Hesson of Long Beach, CA and Pauline Edwards of Hamlin, WV; nieces, Kathy Lewis and Carla Arndt; cousin, Judy Messinger of Proctorville, OH; special friends, Dr. Walter and Betty Jo Yates. He is also survived by a host of friends, church friends and former patients. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the New Baptist Church Building Fund.
