Roger Dale Blankenship, 64, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday at Beard Mortuary. He was born July 2, 1946, a son of the late Seybert Blankenship and the late Dorothy Blankenship Dean. Roger was a member of Christ Temple Church and retired from the Cabell County Board of Education. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Lee Blankenship; children, Kenny Blankenship, Tammy Staley, Teresa Wiles, Barbara Adkins and Susie Damron, all of Huntington; seven sisters; one brother; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
