Robert Davis Willis

Robert Davis Willis, 80 of Huntington, WV passed away on Monday September 2, 2013 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at Beard Mortuary. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born May 2, 1933 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Asa and Mae Davis Willis. He graduated with a Journalism Degree from Marshall University, editor of the Parthenon and was a faithful fan of Marshall University. Bob was the Marketing Director for ABC, NBC, and CBS, retiring from CBS, Chanel 13, WOWK TV. He worked with numerous presidents including,  Kennedy, Carter, Regan, Nixon and Truman, Governor Rockefeller and others and many TV, movie and radio stars, interviewing the likes of Liberace, Liza Minelli, Frank Sinatra and others. He wrote news articles for the Herald-Dispatch, Pittsburg, PA papers and magazines. He is survived by his wife, Rose Youngblood Willis; children, Scott (Michelle) Willis and their daughter Abbey of Indian Trail, NC;
Laura (Chris) Brendler and their children, Sam and Josie of Hilliard, OH; Jamie Holbrook (Tonjia Roberts) of Huntington and Gordon (Sheila) Holbrook and step-son, Jimmy Florio of Scott Depot, WV; a brother, Bill Willis of Tenefly, NJ (an attorney for Sullivan and Cromwell); special family friends, Diann Willis and Frank Mifsud.
