Robert Lee Shoemaker

Robert Lee Shoemaker, 76, of Proctorville went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 15, 2008 in St. Mary's Medical Center.  Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Beard Mortuary with Minister Willie Purdee officiating.  Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.  He was born December 7, 1931 in Cabell Co., WV a son of the late Thomas H. and Ida Pine Shoemaker.  He was also preceded in death by seven brothers, John, Harley, Buddy, Ivan, Marion, Harry, and Franklin; three sisters, Rosemary Meadows, Madeline Shoemaker, and Veva Gardner; son-in-law, Buck Adams.  He was a member of the Guyandotte Church of Christ and a member of the Western Star Lodge #11, R.A.M. #10.  He is survived by his loving wife, Annis Shoemaker; sister, Evelyn Scearcy; brother, Jerry Shoemaker; four children, Karen Adams, Steve and Patsy Shoemaker, Phillip and Debbie Shoemaker; Dale and Kimberly Bias all of Proctorville; eight grandchildren, Lori, Jason, Chris, Greg, Joshua, Sara Beth, Amber, and Bryson; six great grandchildren, Joseph, Johnathon, Madison, Ethan, Emmalee, and Kaydence; host of nieces and nephews.  Visitation will be Saturday, May 17, 2008 from 6 to 9 PM at Beard Mortuary.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.beardmortuary.com.
