Robert L. Scott

Robert L. "Bob" Scott, 83, of Huntington passed away Monday, October 27, 2008 in Hospice House of Huntington.  Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 30, 2008 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with the Rev. Trent Eastman and the Rev. Don Walker officiating.  Entombment will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park.  He was born May 7, 1925 in Covert, MI, a son of the late O. Ferris and Ethel Scott.  He was also preceded in death by one son, Gary Wayne Scott.  Bob was a member of New Baptist Church, Huntington and was a retired insurance agent.  He was also a member of the Huntington East Kiwanis Club.  He is survived by his wife, Mary Scott; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and David Kendrick of Huntington and Jamie Lynn and Murray Dannenberg of Greer, SC; six grandchildren, Tiffany Kendrick and Kimberly Martin and her husband, Billy, all of Huntington, David Owen II and his wife, Michelle of Ladson, SC, Rebecca Nester, John Nester and Brian Nester, all of Greer, SC; two great grandchildren, Brittany Kendrick and Natasha Kendrick both of Huntington; and one brother and sister-in-law, Douglas and Mary Scott of Mobile, AL.  Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington or New Baptist Church.  Online condolences may be sent at www.beardmortuary.com
