Reta J. Shultz

Reta J. Shultz, 90 of Woodlands Retirement Community in Huntington, WV, died May 12, 2011 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House.  She was a lifelong resident of WV.  Reta was born February 13, 1921, a daughter of the late Josiah and Kate Stutler.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters and her husband of 60 years, Harold Paul Shultz.  She is survived by her only son, Harold Paul Shultz II and his wife, Audrey of Harbinger, NC; two grandsons, Steven Paul Shultz (Tracy) and Michael Andrew Shultz (Jamie) and one great grandson, Zachery Shultz, all of Apex, NC and several nieces and nephews.  Reta was a member of the Beverly Hills United Methodist Church and a retired Registered Nurse of Cabell-Huntington Hospital.  She was an avid bridge player and spent her retirement years helping others and enjoying her many friends and family.  In keeping with Reta's wishes to help others, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to Beverly Hills United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.  Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor William Haynes officiating.  Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington.  Online condolences may be conveyed to the family at www.beardmortuary.com
