Peggy Ann (Ward) Crutchfield

Peggy Ann Ward Crutchfield 94 of Huntington, WV., daughter of the late Russell and Roma Ward passed away Friday, March 14, 2025. Peggy was born on August 23, 1930, in Hellier, Kentucky. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Crutchfield, her daughter, Nancy Crutchfield Dixon, brother, Charles Ward and a sister Betty Ward Keys. She is survived by her son, Jack and his wife, Kris, grandson Matthew and his wife, Chelsey, granddaughter, Beth Ann, and her husband Jesse Howard, a son-in-law, Stan Dixon, granddaughter, Molly Dixon, great grandson, Ben, great granddaughters, Lucy, Abby, MaryLynn and Violet, and several nieces and nephews. Peggy taught Physical Education at St. Joseph High School for ten years and Huntington East High School for twenty years and coached basketball at HEHS. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the National Scleroderma Foundation, P.O. Box 411533, Boston, MA 02241-1533, a charity that was dear to Peggy's heart after Nancy passed away from Scleroderma. Beard Mortuary is assisting the family. Services will be private for the family.
