Peggy Joyce (Sexton) Frazier

Peggy Joyce Frazier, 91, of Huntington, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 29, 2025, with her family present.

She was born July 16, 1933, the daughter of the late Wilbert and MaeBelle Sexton.  She was a bookkeeper early on in her life, before settling down to raise her family.  She married Bill Frazier in 1954, ultimately putting up with his antics for 64 years until his death.  Joyce wanted it known she will be joining Bill on the other side of this life.

She was active in her nine-hole golf club, loved cooking, and prided herself on her garden; she was a long-time member of the Beverly Hills Garden Club.  She and Bill loved to travel and shared many interesting trips.  She is survived by her son, Michael (Sharon) of Huntington, Amy, of Senatobia Mississippi, her grandsons Dru (Ellen), Bozeman, Montana, Sam (Katie) and Will (Emma) of Oakland, California, her great grandsons Graham and Miles, and a special nephew Tom (Terry).  She survived several bouts of cancer which made her tough as nails, but she had a compassionate side that shone through to her family and friends.  Pursuant to her wishes, there will be no funeral.  The family will welcome friends to join in remembering Joyce on Sunday, July 20, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Guyan Golf and Country Club.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington and her home caregivers for their compassion and care over the past several years: Laurin, Emily, Tracey, Shirley, Evelyn, Ruth, Patricia and Diana and others who made it possible for her to live her life at home, per her wishes, with her beloved dog, Abby.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations to the Baddour Center, 626 Baddour Blvd, Senatobia MS  38668, or to Hospice of Huntington.
