Peggy V Mcmillian

PEGGY VERENA McMILLIAN, 92, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Huntington and recently Midland Meadows. She was born on September 14, 1923 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Robert and Maggie (Hutchison) Childers. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Louise Fry, Lucille, Helen, Margaret, Bernard, Hank, and Homer Childers. She is survived by her son, James (Wilma) McMillian of Salt Rock; her daughter, Julie (Bill) Peck of Huntington; grandchildren, Cass (Kimberley) McMillian, Mark Peck and Deb Poff, Jamie (Dan) Anderson, Tom (Devan) Peck, and Matt (Brandi) McMillian; great-grandchildren, Cass (Amelia) McMillian II, Josh McMillian, Enzo Peck, and Daniel Anderson; great-great-grandchild, Tucker McMillian. Peggy was an active member and past president of the Beverly Hills Women's Club and volunteer at the Hospitality House for many years. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Dr. Mark Connor officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the mortuary.
