Patricia Pletka

Patricia Ann Pletka, 79 of Huntington, WV passed away on Thursday August 11, 2011 at Huntington Health and Rehab. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church with Fr. James Sobus officiating. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. She was born October 8, 1931 in Cleveland,OH the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Kelly. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister Geraldine Zickefoose and a brother Edward Kelly. Pat was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish where she was active in many endeavors; she chaired the school hot lunch for many years and was a member of Blue Army. She worked as Secretary/Treasurer of the local Birthright Organization before assuming the role of Co-Director. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Pletka, Sr., four children, Thomas Pletka, Charles Pletka, Jr., Jean Horton and her husband, Rick, and Nancy Pletka; grandchildren, Crystal Pletka, Megan Pletka, Stephen Horton, Sarah (Billy) Kuhn, Kathleen Pletka, Nicholas Pletka, Ian Pletka and Amber (Josh) Brown; she is also survived by two sisters Francine Griffiths and Sister Mary James Kelly, SND, sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Barbara and brother-in-law, Frank (Jan) and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
