July 29, 1956 — April 18, 2015

NANCY JEAN CRUTCHFIELD DIXON, 58, passed away April 18, 2015, at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 29, 1956 in Huntington, the daughter of Jackson E. Crutchfield (deceased) and Peggy W. Crutchfield. Nancy is survived by her beloved husband, Dr. Stanley E. Dixon Jr., her daughter Molly Gene Dixon, and her stepdaughter, Caitlin, and her husband Brandon Rivard. Nancy is also survived by her brother Jack and his wife Kris, her nephew Matthew Crutchfield, and his wife Chelsey, her niece Beth Ann Crutchfield, and a special Aunt, Betty Keys, her sisters-in-law and their husbands, Gay and Joe Montgomery and Anita and Pete Polen and their children Hanna and Weston. Nancy was a graduate of Marshall University and was employed, until she became disabled, as a Secretary to the Associate Medical Director at the Veterans Administration Hospital. 4-H activities were a big part of her life when she was growing up and she was a WV 4-H All Star. Boating, swimming, trips to Gatlinburg, and trips to see her team, the Cincinnati Reds were among her favorite things. Nancy was always close to the Crutchfield and Ward families and also remained in close contact with special friends through the years. She was such a giving person, loved her family more than anything, and will be missed by all. We love you Nancy. Rest in Peace. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary, visitation will be an hour and a half prior to the service.
