Nancy Jane DiPiazza, 75 of Winfield, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at WVU Medicine Thomas Memorial Hospital in South Charleston. She was born March 22, 1951 in Ashland, KY to the late A. Frank and Joanne Smith.
Nancy married Steven DiPiazza on October 24, 1994 in Huntington and they spent many wonderful years together. She was a Federal Express Courier and a top domestic Sales Representative. Nancy's faith was important to her and she was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Nancy loved watching her grandchildren, Caleb, Quinnlyn, Cohen and Caleigh, in any event or school sport. She loved family events and gatherings. It gave her so much joy to support and encourage her grandchildren or any of her family.
Nancy enjoyed watching women’s and men’s college and pro-basketball, as well as cheering on the Marshall University Thundering Herd. She also loved the Philadelphia Eagles and she would buy our family coordinating Eagles gear for Christmas.
Nancy also loved traveling and spending time with her husband Steve, and they were looking forward to doing that more after his recent retirement. She loved her twin sisters Karen and Sharon and baby brother Keith dearly. Nancy enjoyed hosting and attending family celebrations to see everyone getting together and enjoying themselves.
In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Paul Kazee. She is survived by her husband, Steven DiPiazza of Winfield; her two sons, Josh (Bridgette) Parlier and Jon (Nikki) Parlier, all of Huntington; grandchildren, Quinnlyn Parlier, Caleb Parlier, Caleigh (fiancé, Adam Craig) Parlier and Cohen Parlier; brother, Franklin Keith Smith of Huntington; sisters, Sharon (Brent) Midkiff and Karen Kazee, all of Huntington, and nieces and nephews, Jessica Foldevi of Oregon, David (Jenny Copley) Kazee of Chesapeake, OH, Heather (Jesse) Jobst of Barboursville and Robert (Lacy) Reeser of Alabama.
