Minis Rowe

Minis "Pawpaw Fudge" Rowe, 83, of Huntington, passed away Friday, September 19, 2008 in Cabell Huntington Hospital.  Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM, Monday, September 22, 2008 at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Jerry Chapman officiating.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.  He was born June 5, 1925 in Wayne Co., WV a son of the late Samuel and Sarah Rowe.  He was the last of thirteen siblings.  He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Rowe to whom he was married for 51 years; his son, Minis Jennings Rowe.  Minis was a retired mail distribution clerk for the United States Postal Service.  He attended Open Door Baptist Church and a member of the VFW Post 1064, Huntington.  He is survived by his wife, Bertha June McCall Rowe; daughter, Barbara Neal of Huntington; four grandchildren, Christopher and Amanda Rowe, Sarah and Chris Miller, Matthew Curry, and Jason and Kim Fikes; four great grandchildren, Madison Rowe, Logan Rowe, Parker Fikes, and Payton Fikes; four stepchildren, Timothy Bowman, Rodney Bowman, Carl and Sherry Bowman, and Curtis and Tammy Bowman; five step grandchildren, Jeremy Bowman, Bo Bowman, Nichole Powell, Amy Music, and Bethany Music; sixteen step great grandchildren; host of other friends and family.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM, Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Beard Mortuary.  Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.beardmortuary.com.
