Martha Beckett

MARTHA BECKETT, 90, of Huntington, went to be with the Lord and her loved ones on Sunday March 31, 2013. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Larry Greene officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. She was born August 17, 1922 in Logan, WV a daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Eplin Adkins. Martha was also preceded in death by her husband, George R. Beckett, son Ronald L. Beckett; two sisters Marie Clay and Myrtle Fraley and a nephew Garry Vanhoose. She was a former sales clerk for Stone and Thomas and attended River Cities Community Church. She is survived by a niece, Elva Canterberry of Proctorville, and two nephews, Darrell Vanhoose and Delbert "Juny" Vanhoose of Huntington. The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Beard Mortuary.
