Mark Anderson Ferguson

Mark Anderson Ferguson, 66 years old of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away at home on Friday, June 27, 2025 after a long battle with cancer.

Mark was an over the road truck driver hauling flatbed, vans and tankers for over 30 years and was an excellent provider for his family. He loved spending time with family as well as traveling, cruising and camping.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Paul and Esther (Coffman) Ferguson.

Mark is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diana Ferguson; four children, Randall Scott Ferguson, Amy (David) Ansell, Mark (Angel) Varney and Jonathan (Amy Beth) Varney; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Mike) Smith; one niece and one nephew, as well as aunts, uncles and many cousins.

Thank you to Paula Edwards Noice for all her loving support and kindness and who was like a sister to Mark. Also, to Hospice who helped us through the last leg of this journey, Dr. Artina Lane who, with loving kindness, took excellent care of Mark, and her nurse, Renee, and all the office staff who were always there for us.

Mark will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Until I see you again, awaiting on the promises of John 5:28-29 when all in the memorial tombs will hear His voice and come out and Revelation 21:3-4 when death, pain, sorrow and tears will be no more.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Beard Mortuary with Visitation at 12 PM, one hour prior to the service being handled by Ron Capehart from the Huntington congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Please leave an online condolence for Mark's family on his tribute wall.
