Margaret Elizabeth Clatworthy

Margaret Elizabeth Clatworthy, 74 loving sister and aunt went home to be with the Lord on Saturday October 10, 2009.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am at Beard Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Paul Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park. She was born November 5, 1934 in Kathryn, WV the daughter of the late John and Clorie Clatworthy.  She graduated from Mt. Hope High School in 1953 and moved to Huntington, WV in 1954.  She attended First United Methodist Church where she retired after 28 years of service as the church secretary. She liked to read and enjoyed writing poetry. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three sisters, Patricia Clatworthy, Jessie Clatworthy Martin, Dorothy Clatworthy Miller; a brother, Daniel Clatworthy and a nephew, Brent Clatworthy.  She is survived by two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jane Fletcher of Huntington and Alice and Robert Adkins of Proctorville, OH; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Judith Grant Clatworthy of Huntington; twelve nieces and nephews, Judith  Patrick; Nicholas Miller, Paula Miller, Jerome Miller, Matthew Fletcher, Stacey Fletcher, Carrie Tucker, Andrea Adkins, Victoria Adkins, Robert Clatworthy, Tammie Sutphin and Christopher Clatworthy and many great nieces and nephews. She will be deeply missed by family and friends, but we have peace knowing she is in the arms of the Lord. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Beard Mortuary.
