Marceline Johnson

Marceline Johnson, 82, of Cross Lanes, formerly of Huntington, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010 in Cross Lanes.  A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington with Pastor Pete Thompson officiating.  Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.  She was born September 9, 1927 in Cabell County, WV, a daughter of the late Ella Mae Harless Adkins.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Homer W. Turpin and her second husband, Hezza Johnson.  She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Davis of Kure Beach, NC and Suella K. O'Neil of Ann Arbor, MI; two sons and daughters-in-law, Philip S. and Freda Johnson of Cross Lanes, WV and Michael A. and Wanda Johnson of Buford, GA; 13 grandchildren, Shelly, Jennifer, Ashlee, Creel, Stephen, Paige, Bert, Brandon, Josh, Luke, Casey, Lexi and Bailey; 11 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and special friends, Traci Porter, Cindy Woods and Shannon Ballard.  A special thanks to HospiceCare, Kanawha County for the loving care of our mother.  Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary.  Memorial donations may be made to HospiceCare of Kanawha, 1606 Kanawha Blvd., W., Charleston, WV 25302 or to the charity of one's choice.  Online condolences may be sent at www.beardmortuary.com.
