Mabel Frances Spurlock

Mabel Frances Nance Spurlock, 86, widow of Robert Lansing Spurlock of Guyandotte rested this life Friday, March 4, 2011 at Putnam Care & Rehab Center, Hurricane.  Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Edwin S. Harper officiating.  Burial will follow in Dock's Creek Cemetery, Kenova.  She was born January 14, 1925 in Mason County, WV, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Jeffers Nance.  She worked at the Huntington Department Store and was a member of The Apostolic Life Cathedral and Guyandotte Neighborhood Association during her life.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert L. "Bob" Spurlock, Jr.; four sisters and three brothers.  She is held in loving memory by one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia L. (Tom) Watson of Barboursville; one granddaughter, Rhonda Spurlock Lee; two grandsons, Thomas H. "Tommy" Watson III and Timothy J.
