LYNDA PHILLIPS TRACY, 77, of Huntington, widow of Jack Tracy, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born on January 30, 1938 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Jennings and Iva (Phillips) Ward. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her half-brother, Billy Don Ward. She is survived by her sons, Timothy (Judy) Tracy of South Point, OH, Steve (Carla) Tracy of Kitts Hill, OH, and David (Melissa) Tracy of Huntington; her daughter, Leigh Ann (Josh) Cochran of Parkersburg; her grandchildren, Travis and Derek Tracy, Chace (Courtney) Tracy, Brittney (Dan) Emerson, Michael and Elizabeth Cochran; five great-grandchildren; special friends, J.B. and Piney Venoy; and her "adopted daughter", Kathy Eplion. Mrs. Tracy was a member of the 26th Street Church of Christ. She loved to spread her faith and she and her husband made several mission trips to the Ukraine. She was also a talented watercolor artist and was a member of the West Virginia Watercolor Society. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Minister Allen Cole and Youth Minister Chris Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the mortuary.
