Lowell L. Sharp

Lowell L. Sharp, 72, of Huntington passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2008 in St. Mary's Medical Center.  Graveside services will be held at 12 noon Friday, March 7, 2008 in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with the Rev. Phillip Bowen officiating.  Entombment will follow.  He was born October 17, 1935 in Cabell County, WV, a son of the late Hazel Baumgardner Knight Corum.  He was also preceded in death by a stepfather, Frank Knight.  Lowell served in the US Army in Korea.  He retired from Pechiney Aluminum, Ravenswood, WV after 43 years of employment.  He was a kind and generous person who helped anyone in need.  He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.  He is survived by two sisters, Linda Blankenship of Lesage and Donna Bowman of Huntington; stepfather, Edgar Corum of Huntington; nephew, Troy Knight and his wife Tricia of Ashland, KY; niece, Sherry Blankenship of Lesage and great niece, Maggie A. Knight of Athalia, OH.  Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the mausoleum at White Chapel.  Beard Mortuary, Huntington is in charge of arrangements.
