Lola Elkins

LOLA ELKINS, 73, of Huntington, wife of David Elkins, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at Heritage Center. She was born on August 16, 1940 in Reedsville, GA, a daughter of the late Joe and Betty Eason. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Carter. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children Gregory (Debbie) Elkins, Jeff (Christina) Elkins, and Jennifer (Thomas) Bryant; grandchildren, Justin, Stephanie, and Joshua Elkins and T.L. (Sarah) Bryant; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Caden, Nativia, Braden, Aniyah, and Landen; sisters Johnnie Will Kessner and Helen Wade; and a host of friends. Mrs. Elkins was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church and a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. She was retired from the Corps of Engineers. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM at Beard Mortuary with Pastor Terry Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville.
