LILLIE MAE "DUCKIE" TANNER, 70, of Huntington, wife of Gary Tanner, passed away on Saturday at the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House. She was born on August 18, 1941 in Huntington, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Lillie Harris. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Curtis Tanner. In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Cheryl Shamsher of TX, Melynda Tanner of Huntington and Andrea McComas of Huntington; siblings, Genevieve, Norma Jean, Shelby, Linda and Johnny; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 11:00 am at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Ron Burnsworth officiating. Burial will follow at Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 6-8 pm at the mortuary. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Emogene Dolin-Jones Hospice House of Huntington in Mrs. Tanner's honor.
