LAURA M. ADKINS DENNISON, 94 of Goodlettsville, Tenn., passed away Friday, June 3, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Beard Mortuary, Huntington, W.Va. Burial will follow in Crook Cemetery, Huntington. She was born December 20, 1921, in Boyd County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late William Curtis and Martha L. Jordan Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Howard Adkins and Everett E. Dennison; two sons-in-law, Jack R. Plybon and John F. Mills; step-son Edward Dennison; a daughter, Patricia L. Crabtree; sisters Bertha M. Jones and Margaret L. Bryant; and brothers Edward, Charles and Curtis "Kayo" Church. Laura was a devoted mother and homemaker. She was a charter member of Good Shepherd Free Will Baptist Church. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy A. (Tom) Stickrod of Lafayette, Ind., and Judy G. Mills of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; a step-daughter Hazel (Bruce) Sutton of Grand Prairie, Texas; a brother, Bob L. Church of Indianapolis, Ind.; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, many great- great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
