Lassa Hughes

LASSA HUGHES passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025, at the age of 96, in Carefree, AZ. Born on March 16, 1928, Lassa's life was a testament to her love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Lassa is survived by her daughter, Norma Bonnell; her grandchild, Addison Amato; and her great-grandchild, Sebastian Amato. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Hughes Jr.

Professionally, Lassa was a dedicated employee at Kerr Glass Manufacturing. Her commitment to her work paralleled her dedication to her community and personal interests. Lassa was an active member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and devoted many years to volunteering with the American Cancer Society, where she made significant contributions to the fight against cancer.

Lassa's faith was an important part of her life, as evidenced by her active participation in both the 7th Ave. Methodist Church and the Community of Grace United Methodist Church. Her faith community remembers her as a beacon of kindness and generosity.

Services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at the Woodmere Memorial Park Abbey of Remembrance, followed by a reception at Community of Grace United Methodist Church. Please leave an online condolence for Lassa's family on her tribute wall.
